The two 81 year olds smiled and hugged despite their aching bodies.
The two of them truly understand the words love and friendship.
As I watched them interact, I thought of the relationships I have lost over the years and those that I have maintained, and that is when I realized that in all relationships LIFE HAPPENS.
People die, people get sick, people get busy, but that is when you push past it all and cling on to what matters. Your friendship and your love. The two ladies have had many struggles, husbands died ,they both have fought cancer, they wake up with pain, they have heartaches, and continue to have loss after loss but someway-somehow they come together and are friends. There is someone in the world that understands them. It doesn't matter what has happened in their lives because they have someone to literally hold onto. I want that. That amazing friendship that stands through the stress of this life, and all the difficulties and pushes through to have a TRUE BLUE love that lasts for 45 years plus!!!
